Ohkay Owingeh Head Start is a comprehensive child development program that serves children from ages three to five and their families. Our overall goal is to increase the school readiness of the children in our community.

Our Head Start program has five classrooms and a total enrollment of 80 children.

Parent involvement is a critical component of Head Start success. We have an active parent committee that recommends procedure and policy changes and a father’s circle that stays involved by volunteering in the program.
